Wiki Loves Bangla (WLBangla), also known as Banglar Preme Wiki, is an international photography contest dedicated to capturing and preserving the richness of Bengali culture and heritage. Organized by Bangla WikiMoitree, this initiative is part of the Bangla Culture and Heritage Collation Program, which aims to document the vibrant archaeology and architecture, culture and heritage, historical legacy and traditions, as well as the lifestyle of Bengali communities worldwide.
Vision
Our aim is to celebrate, document, and preserve Bengali culture and heritage through open knowledge. By leveraging collaborative platforms such as Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata, and Wikipedia, we ensure that its rich traditions and history remain accessible to everyone for generations to come.
