Wiki Loves Bangla Editions

Since 2025, it has completed two editions, inviting global contributors to share freely licensed images for Wikimedia projects.

This page highlights each edition’s themes, participation, winning photos, and key moments, reflecting the competition’s growth and impact.

In 2025, a total of 191 participants contributed a total of 1,800 photographs, capturing the rich diversity of birdlife across Bengal. From this remarkable collection, the jury selected the top 10 images based on their photographic excellence, artistic composition, and encyclopedic value. The quality of submissions was truly outstanding, making it a challenging task to select the final winners. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the following photographers for their exceptional work and winning contributions!

In 2024, a total of 215 people contributed over 2,108 photos, and the top 10 photos were selected by the jury. These photos are recognized for their photographic quality, artistic merit, and encyclopedic value as illustrations of Bengali cuisine. We were impressed by many incredible submissions, and as always, it proved to be difficult to narrow them down to just ten winners.
